Cadogan Tate New York Limited has an exciting position available for an Art Handler / Driver. The essential duties of this role are to work on and off site delivering / collecting, handling, installing and packing art works. We are looking for skilled Art Handlers and Art Installers, with truck driving experience preferred.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes :
Some experience in Art Transportation and Art Logisticse.g. Art Preparator, Fine Art Handler, Fine Art Preparator is applicable for this position)
A knowledge of proper handling of art works using the appropriate materials and methods for packaging, loading and securing for safe transportInstallation experience of a wide range of art works in different environmentsFamiliarity with paperwork; Bills of Lading, Condition Reports, Inventory, Drivers Logs, etc.Ability to lift 50lbsExperience driving a Box Truck is a plusProfessional appearance and demeanorThis a full time position, working Monday through Friday and some weekends. Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities for an Art Handler are the followings :
Collections and deliveries on a daily basis, locally and interstate as neededHandle and control all paperwork when on site or working in the field, including all condition reporting for goodsEnsure vehicle used is always safe, clean and prepared for the day or trip as required, verify what goods are needed at the start of every day or trip based on the daily trip sheet or trip manifestEnsure all modifications to daily trip manifest are reported and verified by the Dispatch Manager prior to making any modificationsProper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furnitureAssist with installation projectsPreparation of condition checks and condition reports as neededPack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storageTraining art handlers when requiredAssist in the loading and unloading of Cadogan Tate trucksEnsure a high degree of detail and focus on every jobWhen required to start your day or end your day at a location other than Cadogan Tate New York Limited, you are required to complete a manual time sheet and to have this signed by the supervisor or your manager within 24 hours of the start or end of the day.Skills Knowledge and Expertise
High school diploma / GED requiredSome experience in the art handling industry; packing, handling and installing on a local and interstate basisSome logistical, warehousing and moving experienceUnderstanding of inventory processes and the ability to learn how to improve on handling art and antiquities from collection through to installationSolid problem-solving, communication, organizational and time management skillsAbility to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reportingTeam player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environmentComfortable in a results-driven workplaceExperience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary logistics equipmentAbility to safely lift 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cartAbility to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overheadBenefits
