What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Assistant Project Manager position at CADRE Construction?
Responsibilities include…
- Push for timely submissions/reviews of all shop drawings and other required approvals
- Create the project schedule on Microsoft Project. Monitor and maintain the schedule on a weekly basis and identify areas needing attention at any given point of a project
- Create & provide weekly updates for the OAC meetings. Schedule and facilitate these meetings
- Identify and communicate to the Consultant/Client any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s construction documents
- Expedite all RFI’s & CO’s and maintain all logs
- Monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are addressed
- Ensure completion and track all independent testing and inspections as needed
- Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of equipment on the job site in conjunction with site superintendent
- Control and monitor labor, material, and equipment
- Ensure “as-built” drawings are prepared as work progresses by the superintendent as well as all trades during the construction period and be prepared to issue final set closeout submission
- Ensure all required municipal inspections are current
- Prepare and expedite project deficiencies
- This is a 40 hour position, salary exempt professional - Benefits (Health/Dental/401k) are provided for salaried positions.
- Calling/Emailing subcontractors to bid on projects
- Requesting references from unqualified subcontractors
- Contacting references to qualify the subcontractors
- Tracking new subcontractors
- Tracking bidding services () for subcontractor coverage
- Validating/Updating contact and company information of existing subcontractors
- Learning to read plans
- Preparation of the general conditions budget
- Learning to manage & qualify incoming sub bids
- Provide support to Senior Estimator and Project Management Team.
- Assisting in estimating projects, enforce our safety program, quality control, creating and updating master schedules and project managing from concept to completion, reviewing and coordinating submittals and RFIs, document control, billings, and change orders.
