Position Summary:
The Area Vice President of Sales will assist in creating strategy and will be directly responsible for growing revenue and profitability in the assigned Area. This position will lead a team of direct Territory Managers and independent sales representatives. This position is responsible for driving sales strategy and performance, promoting effective customer relationships, partnering with key individuals at all levels within the organization, gaining a full understanding of the customers needs, and anticipating changes in the business environment.
Candidates must possess the ability to serve as a hands-on leader, and at times even as an individual contributor, to build their team to achieve above plan performance. They must also collaborate exceptionally well in a small, dedicated, cross-functional leadership team focused on results, accountability, and team development. The right candidate will be expected to adopt a fast growth mindset, building a culture of one team pursuing one goal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive plan and sales strategy for the area that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Manage sales efforts of independent reps and distributors.
- Manage team of direct and independent sales representatives. Coach, train, develop and sales professionals to increase revenue opportunities. Provide leadership and mentorship to drive sales and performance.
- Understand training and development needs of internal/external sales representatives and provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
- Maintains contact with all customers in the market area to ensure high levels of satisfaction, new product penetration and usage.
- Interpret sales data analytics and market insights to translate into actionable strategies for the area sales team.
- Build and manage aggressive KPIs to hold all team members accountable in driving results.
- Collect and analyze market information to optimize sales and market share.
- Partner with other sales channels to ensure successful contract development and compliance.
- Manage sales budgets and approve expenses for direct reports. Ensure team is up to date on training as assigned.
- Hire, train, develop, and inspire top sales talent to support the strategic needs of the organization and ensure the successful attainment of all sales objectives and company initiatives.
- Develop and make critical decisions required to achieve sales objectives.
- Partners with Marketing to enhance sales strategies, communications, and messaging.
- Utilize available marketing collateral & knowledge of competitive position to raise awareness of growth opportunities.
- Understand the target markets, industries, and market strategies that will be effective in each.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the area.
- Accomplishes organizational mission by completing related tasks and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years medical device sales experience as well as 3 years as a Sales Manager or similar role.
- Previous experience working within VA, DOD, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury DME and alternative payer mix.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel on average 3 ( /-) days a week
Compensation:
Caerus Corp provides the following information about compensation for this position:
- Salary Range: $200,000.00 - $400,000.00. Salary/Incentive comp per year at plan

The salary range is based on several factors which will vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include but not limited to education, work experience, scope and responsibilities of position and geographic location.
