Maintenance Technician II

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician II to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and performing routine maintenance on various industrial sewing machines and manufacturing equipment, including automated cutters and label printers, while maintaining accurate logs. The role includes troubleshooting issues, identifying recurring problems to reduce downtime, and providing training to operators on proper machine use.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and perform routine preventative maintenance on all types of industrial sewing machines including automated tackers, lockstitch, chainstitch, and overlock machines within our facility and maintain accurate log of repairs performed.
• Repair and perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment including Eastman and Gerber automated cutters, laser cutting equipment, strip cutters, hot knives, label printers, etc. and maintain accurate log of activities performed.
• Maintain a documented supply of essential parts and tools for all facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot tension, threading, needle orientation, and other basic issues with sewing machine operators.
• Trend recurring issues with equipment, identify solutions to minimize downtime, and lead initiatives to reduce downtime incidents with staff and management.
• Conduct basic best-practice training and remedial training as necessary with machine operators regarding proper use of sewing equipment, threading, tension, needle orientation, etc.
• Move machines in and out of work cells to meet needs during manufacturing changeovers.
• Manage required building maintenance service contracts.
• Responsible for mentoring and training of maintenance staff. This includes technical knowledge, demonstrating best practices, and providing hands-on guidance to ensure team members develop the necessary skills and understanding to perform their duties effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hight School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 5 years prior experience with industrial sewing machine repair.
• Basic textiles, manufacturing, and sewing knowledge required.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
• Strong people skills and ability to work cohesively with team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is preferred.

Compensation:
Caerus Corp provides the following information about compensation for this position:

• Salary Range: $28.00 $32.00 per hour.

The salary range is based on several factors which will vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include but not limited to education, work experience, scope and responsibilities of position and geographic location.
