What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cage Supervisor (Caesars Virginia) position at Caesars Entertainment?
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise and direct subordinate Casino Cage staff to include: selection, training, discipline, scheduling, and counseling.
- Responsible for knowing internal controls, policies and procedures, specifically credit and air fare policy, pay out policy and Regulation 6-A policy; understands and adheres to all Gaming Control Board Guidelines.
- Promotes positive customer relations.
- Works closely with all other department heads and vice presidents, mainly the Casino and Slot executives.
- Manages all department personnel administrative functions to include hiring, terminations, vacations, sick pay, etc.
- Monitor and track variances.
- Evaluate employee performance, to include use of surveillance tapes.
- Maintain cash and chips on hand for cage operation.
- Performs accounting functions.
- Works front line window and main bank.
- Order and inventory supplies as required.
- Perform any other tasks as directed by the Casino Controller.
- Maintains physical safeguards over all monies, forms and records relating to Casino Cashiering.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, T-31, regulations, company policies and procedures for these areas of responsibility.
- Establishes and maintains policies for the safeguarding of the funds of the property.
- Reports any unusual incidents, trends or other pertinent data concerning cashiering areas.
- Ensures that Cashier’s Cage is responsible for the approval, exchange, redemption and consolidation of patron checks, and the receipt, distribution and redemption of gaming chips.
- Responsible for the proposal & coordination of operational changes to existing procedures.
- Administers policies and procedures
- Serves as engagement leader for the cages.
- Identifies and implements improvements for service.
- Instills Mission, Vision, and Values every day with each customer and team member.
- Coaches, trains, and provides feedback to Supervisors and Cashiers.
- Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to supervisor, Security, or Safety personnel.
- Monitor and provide guidance for guest/employee safety in fire/emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and corporate regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Ensure compliance with all state and corporate gaming regulations pertaining to the presence of minors in gaming areas.
- Continually monitor work areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Develop and institute all new corporate directives/guidelines in a timely manner.
- Attend meeting with department personnel and outside department personnel as required.
- Manage occasional special projects such as remodeling, conventions, international players, and special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- College degree in Finance, Business Management or related field preferred.
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Minimum of 5-7 years gaming experience required
- Minimum of 1-2 years manager experience preferred; Previous Cage Management Experience preferably in the Casino or Banking Industry
- Minimum of 1-2 years related supervisor experience required
- Knowledge of Title 31
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, friendly, and confident manner.
- Must be able to get along with fellow team members and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.
Salary : $57,300 - $72,600
