Wine Buyer

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Wine Buyer/Sommelier to lead our wine program, manage vendor relationships, and deliver an exceptional guest experience rooted in wine education and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Curate and maintain a dynamic wine list that complements our seasonal French-inspired menu

• Lead all wine purchasing, manage inventory, and maintain accurate cost control

• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wineries, and producers

• Conduct staff wine training and tastings to ensure strong product knowledge and service excellence

• Offer personalized wine recommendations to guests and provide tableside wine service

• Organize and host wine-focused events, tastings, and seasonal pairings

• Monitor wine trends and customer preferences to ensure a fresh, engaging selection

• Collaborate with the culinary team and management on pairings and menu alignment

• Ensure proper wine storage, handling, and service standards

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in wine buying or sommelier roles in upscale dining

• Deep knowledge of French and European wines, as well as emerging wine regions

• Strong vendor negotiation and inventory management skills

• Certified Sommelier (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) preferred

• Excellent communication and guest service skills

• Team-oriented with a hands-on leadership approach

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
