Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated coffee professional to lead our team as Store Manager in creating a welcoming and enjoyable café experience for our customers. We are located in the center court of the Westfarms mall expected to open March 26. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and food service, along with the ability to provide excellent customer service. As a Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring quality expectations are met by all staff in making excellent drinks efficiently and giving superior customer service. You will hire and train the right staff to help grow the store into a hot spot in the West Farms mall. Other responsibilities include scheduling, ordering, inventory management and payroll. Leading this store is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a newly expanding coffee company!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Prepare food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and salads while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers to build rapport and encourage repeat visits.

- Weekly payroll via POS software
- Placing orders from a variety of vendors and tracking shipments
- Taking control of inventory and addressing and resolving any relating issues
- Training staff on all brewing procedures and drink and food recipes
- Be in regular communication with Regional Manager and Owner about any aspect of the role and company.
Requirements
- Ideally at least 1 year of management or supervisory experience in a cafe setting.
- A passion for coffee culture and knowledge of different brewing techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks related to food preparation and service.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to step in when needed to ensure the store is operating at its best potential.
