Job Summary:
The Key Accounts & Growth Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key wholesale partners, ensuring strong long-term partnerships and revenue growth. This role focuses on account retention, growing and optimizing the performance of existing accounts, fielding and managing donation requests, upselling within existing accounts, and leveraging sales data to inform strategy. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and collaborates closely with the Sales & Marketing Specialist to ensure a seamless transition from new lead acquisition to long-term account management.
This is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week), salaried and exempt position (under FLSA guidelines and is not eligible for overtime compensation). The ideal candidate is based in Logan, Salt Lake City, or along the Wasatch Front, working remotely with regular travel to meet prospects, support marketing initiatives, and represent Caffe Ibis at industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Management & Growth
· Manage key wholesale and grocery accounts, ensuring retention and long-term satisfaction.
· Develop account-specific growth plans, including upselling and expanding product placements.
· Work with distributors and brokers to enhance product visibility and optimize logistics.
· Serve as the primary liaison between Caffe Ibis and major accounts, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
Data Analysis & Performance Optimization
· Regularly run sales reports, analyze trends, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
· Track key account performance metrics, including reorder rates, average order value, and growth trends.
· Identify and address potential churn risks, implementing strategies to improve customer loyalty.
Account-Specific Promotions & Support
· Develop customized promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing teams.
· Provide consultative support to accounts on menu planning, brewing methods, and operational efficiencies.
· Educate accounts on new product launches and seasonal offerings.
Industry Representation & Brand Advocacy
· Represent Caffe Ibis at trade shows, distributor meetings, and industry networking events.
· Strengthen existing relationships through regular in-person visits and ongoing account engagement.
· Ensure all partnerships align with Caffe Ibis’ values and mission.
Donation Request Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for donation requests, evaluating opportunities based on alignment with company values and impact.
· Work with internal teams to coordinate and fulfill approved donation requests.
· Maintain records of donations and assess community impact for reporting and future decision-making.
Travel & Field Engagement
· Regular travel to visit existing accounts, maintain relationships, and ensure performance.
· Expected regional travel with up to 5% overnight trips (approximately 13 nights per year).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· Account Retention Rate: Maintain at least 90% annual retention of existing key accounts.
· Revenue Growth: Increase sales within existing accounts by 10-15% annually.
· Upsell Success: Grow average order value by 10% within top 10 accounts.
· Sales Reporting & Analysis: Deliver monthly performance reports with actionable insights.
· Customer Engagement: Conduct quarterly business reviews with all major accounts.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
· 3 years of experience in sales account management, grocery sales, product development and distribution, or relevant educational or vocational experience.
· Strong relationship management and customer retention expertise.
· Excellent data analysis skills, with experience using CRM tools and sales analytics software (e.g., Excel, Airtable, ecommerce, QuickBooks, etc.).
· Ability to develop account-specific growth plans and execute strategic upselling.
· Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
· A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives with a list of questions/problems/goals and a little direction to then go and figure out answers/solutions/strategy.
