Cahaba Mountain Brook Animal Clinic, locally owned and operated in Cahaba Heights, Alabama, is currently accepting applications for an experienced Veterinary Technician.

A qualified candidate for this position should be adept at phlebotomy, safe handling of animals, performing and monitoring anesthesia, drug-calculations, dental prophylaxis, urine and fecal analysis, and hospitalized patient care. Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask are essential. We believe in high-quality medicine practiced in a positive work environment. Mentoring is a team effort at our hospital

Skills and Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent

-Graduation from accredited Veterinary technician school and Alabama State Veterinary License preferred, but not required for applying for this position- Excellent customer service skills- Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office)- Attention to detail- Strong work ethic, confidence and an overall great attitude- The ability to lift at least 40lbs and be on your feet most of the shift

Priority will be given to applicants with previous experience in a veterinary hospital. Knowledge of Avimark software is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
