Job Description
We are looking for an Implementation Project Manager to manage large scale, highly complex, highly visible and/or business critical projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, developers, and consultants to ensure a successful delivery of the defined deliverable(s). The Project Manager is highly organized, proud of the work they do, and are always learning and working on ways to develop their expertise. A successful project manager is accountable, responsible, creative, innovative, and an overall team player. This position will be contract and onsite and requires occasional travel to various East Penn locations .
What You’ll Do
Responsible for all project management processes (concept through completion) for large scale, highly complex, highly visible and/or business critical projects through the project life cycle
Balance difficult conflicting priorities
Lead meetings between stakeholders, resources, senior managers, and executives
Define project scope, goals and deliverables
Develop and maintain detailed project plan and schedule, refining as needed, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and produce desired results
Uncover project risks and define a strategy to address
Manage project evaluation and dissemination activities
Establish resource requirements and coordinate project resources (internal and third parties /vendors)
Directs cross-functional teams of associates and 3rd party vendor partners through complex project initiatives
Cultivate a productive environment by communicating project goals and objectives, team members’ roles and responsibilities, and clarifying process
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
Ensure effective hand-offs between team members
Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
Identify and remove roadblocks by providing feedback, encouragement, and advice
Escalate appropriate issues for resolution
Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices used in project management
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by establishing practices, templates, processes, and tools to improve productivity and expand East Penn’s PM capabilities
Conduct post-project evaluation to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned
Assist the Project Management Office Director with the development of Project Managers by coaching and mentoring; motivating and inspiring; assigning and overseeing work
Actively assist with developing tools, methodologies, approaches, points of view and thought leadership

What You’ll Need
Required:
PMI and/or PMP certification or other approved equivalent project management certification
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline
15 years of work experience with 6 years of project management experience (planning, management and delivery of successful programs and projects)
Experience managing ERP/APS implementation/conversion projects, effectively creating and executing project plans and driving results across team members
Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, CrescentOne or Microsoft Dynamics
Utilization of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
Excellent leadership, change management, and vendor management skills
Proactive risk and issue management skills to ensure expected project outcomes / deliverables are achieved on time and within budget, scope and expected quality
Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues and escalate appropriately for resolution
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective
Self-motivated and self-directed; can effectively cope with ambiguity
Is unafraid to respectfully challenge the status quo by providing new ideas and solutions
Financial acumen including budget development and management
Ability to effectively coach and mentor junior staff members
Intimate knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI®)’s Project Management Body of Knowledge required
Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Office tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance from supervisory Project Managers and mentors
Professional presentation skills with experience of regularly presenting to a variety of different audiences
Strong team management skills, including facilitation, conflict resolution, and team development
Preferred:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience is a plus
Advanced degree preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
Occasional visits to Plant environment that includes heat, cold, fumes, odors, dust, and loud conditions
