- What Youll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of solution architects, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the team
- Participate in recruiting
- Manage staff on-boarding / off-boarding
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements
- Develop comprehensive solution architectures that align with client objectives and industry best practices
- Oversee the creation of detailed design documentation, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and integration plans
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert recommendations and strategic insights
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with clients to gather requirements and present solutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements
- Develop Ballpark Estimates to inform decision-making
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architecture and implementation
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on complex architectural challenges
- Drive innovation by exploring new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Manage policy / security audits of software, platforms, and infrastructure hosted by third parties
- Oversee the annual assessment of the health of applications supported by the CAI team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, infrastructure admins, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization
- What You'll Need
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of IT experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience leading technical staff
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
