Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator / Back Yard Hand to join our team at Cain Recyclers in Philadelphia, MS. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in operating various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, excavator with a shear, metal material handlers.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavator and shear, magnet, and material handlers unloading customers, loading trucks, and processing material
- Customer will have to perform manual labor as well as equipment operation
- A knowledge of different types of scrap metal material is a plus but not necessarily a requirement. We are looking for someone eager to learn.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and conduct routine inspections to identify any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on site.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, front end loaders, and material handlers
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are a plus.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
