About the Role: Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for assisting, managing and overseeing the steps within the fundraising cycle related to donor engagement and management. This position will oversee the CRM, and create strategic fundraising plans to steward and cultivate donors at CAIR-LA. The Donor Relations Coordinator reports to the Development Manager and works closely with them to streamline automation and create an enhanced and easy process for donations.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support in administrative efforts related to multi-channel fundraising initiatives through annual fundraising appeals, events, and campaigns (including digital campaigns, social media, direct mail, crowd funding, and other channels)
- Manage and oversee the CRM product in order track all donor transactions, automate cultivation cycles & input all donation processing
- Create a professional and personalized approach to managing donor profiles within the technology infrastructure
- Responsible for running reports and data compilation required for fundraising strategy
- Input, process and document donations daily
- Prepare tax receipts and donor communications for all payment-related inquiries
- Create and manage donor recognition programs with support from the Development Coordinator
- Phone calls and online solicitation efforts to new donors promoting the work and services of CAIR-LA
- Customer Service and Troubleshooting lead for all donors
- Assist with proposals and reports for major donors and other writing needs
- Maintain online profiles including Charity Navigator and GuideStar
- Secure sponsorship and advertisements for annual banquet and special events/programs
- Support the implementation of the monthly donor program to include maintenance/engagement of existing donors and expansion of new donors with support from the Development Coordinator
- Meet annual revenue projections and donor retention KPI's
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing or related field is preferred
- One to Three years of fund development experience required
- 1-3 years of experience in donor care and solicitation preferred
- Experience in social justice-oriented and/or nonprofit organizations preferred
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
- CRM and online donor management software experience or knowledge required
- Must have strong initiative and demonstrate the ability to learn in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
- A record of measurable results in organizing and implementing initiatives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
