CAIR-SFBA is looking to hire a Programs Coordinator, Outreach & Youth to lead youth outreach and engagement across the Bay Area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building relationships, confident speaking to diverse audiences, and excited to represent CAIR-SFBA in public spaces. You'll lead key youth initiatives and connect with schools, mosques, and regional partners. Initiative and adaptability will be key to your success.
Title: Programs Coordinator, Outreach & Youth
Reporting Relationships: Report to the Programs Manager.
Schedule Type: Full-Time (Non-exempt). 40 hours each week. Frequent evenings and weekends required for programming.
Location: Based in CAIR's Santa Clara office. CAIR staff are currently working a hybrid schedule, with three days in-person and two days remote. Requires frequent travel throughout the Bay Area (vehicle and driver's license required).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivering CAIR-SFBA public education programs, interactive workshops, training sessions, and forums. Must be comfortable with public speaking.
- Coordinating and delivering CAIR's ARSI/AYM and ARSI S2S programs.
- Coordinating marketing and outreach efforts for CAIR-SFBA programming.
- Recruiting engaging outreach contacts throughout the region.
- Representing CAIR-SFBA at relevant organizations' (college campuses, nonprofits, mosques, etc.) events, activities, and meetings.
- Ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of program execution, from initial planning stages to post-event analysis.
Other duties as assigned, dependent on organizational needs and employee skills.
All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones, weekly outreach, fundraising, and other office tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with limited time
- Excellent oral and written communication to interface with community leaders, volunteers, donors, and colleagues in a professional and effective manner
- Experience with and proficiency in public speaking before diverse audiences
- Access to a working vehicle and the ability to drive throughout Northern California for events and outreach in an on-demand capacity
- A strong commitment to civil rights and CAIR's mission
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Adobe Acrobat, Asana, Canva, Constant Contact, and WordPress
- Experience working with the American Muslim community
- Experience working with non-profit organizations
- Conversational proficiency in Arabic, Dari, or Urdu
Compensation
- Compensation in the range of $28-30.59/hourly, commensurate with experience
- Fully paid Kaiser Health Insurance and Blue Cross PPO Dental Plan for employee and dependents
