Manager, ERP - JD Edwards
Position Summary
The ERP Manager oversees the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of CAIRE's Enterprise Resource Planning software, serving as the primary contact for JD Edwards systems and their integration with third-party applications. This role includes troubleshooting issues, designing effective solutions, facilitating user testing and training, and ensuring the successful execution of new projects while providing ongoing system support. Managing a small team of JD Edwards professionals and external consultants, the ERP Manager works closely with business leaders, executive teams, and technology partners to align ERP strategies with organizational objectives. Reporting to the Global VP of IT, this role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, improving data accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making by optimizing the ERP system to address the company’s evolving needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of in-house JD Edwards professionals and contract consultants to address issues and deliver projects effectively
- Establish and maintain stakeholder expectations and relationships, aligning IT strategies with business objectives
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the JD Edwards ERP system, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business needs
- Manage ERP system upgrades, including planning, testing, retrofitting, and execution with minimal disruption to operations
- Organize and lead ERP-related projects throughout their lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and support
- Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements, implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency
- Work with business leaders and technology teams to understand and document business requirements, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs
- Identify and recommend ERP solutions to address gaps in functionality, improving processes and efficiency
- Train and educate users on various JD Edwards modules, creating comprehensive manuals and training materials
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues, providing technical support and maintaining a resolution log for future use
- Collaborate with external ERP vendors and consultants for system customization, integration, and updates, ensuring seamless operation and alignment with business needs
- Oversee third-party tools and integrations, such as EDI interfaces, Transform forms, and job schedulers, addressing issues proactively
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the ERP system and its integration with other business applications
- Align ERP system capabilities with organizational goals, driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making
