Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing tailored assistance and encouragement.
- Facilitate small group activities that enhance social skills, behavior management, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors is required
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with preschool-aged children, including toddlers.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
- A passion for nature and Waldorf education preferred
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
