CAKES body LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics & Operations Coordinator with 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management and operations to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day logistics operations, optimizing transportation, and ensuring timely deliveries across our supply chain and supporting our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics processes, the ability to work independently, and the drive to continuously improve operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Shipments: Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that goods are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Route Optimization: Develop and optimize delivery routes, collaborating with carriers to balance cost-efficiency and timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels, ensuring accuracy and availability of inventory while minimizing shortages or overstocking.
- Documentation & Compliance: Manage all logistics documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations, including international shipping and customs.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Maintain effective relationships with third-party logistics providers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Logistics Reporting & Analysis: Track key logistics metrics and provide regular reports on performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency.
- Cross Functional Operations Support: Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure execution of operational activities that help improve overall supply chain efficiencies.
- Problem Resolution: Address logistics challenges such as delays, shipping discrepancies, and inventory issues, providing timely solutions and escalating when necessary.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Collaboration: Work alongside team members, providing guidance and support as needed while fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with a solid understanding of logistics operations.
- East Coast Resident - The position will operate on ET hours and candidates are preferred to reside in the Eastern Time Zone as well.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- International Experience: Experience with international shipping and customs processes.
Skills:
- Strong experience with logistics software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS).
- Knowledge of inventory management, shipment tracking, and logistics documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
