Feed Mill Maintenance/Utility Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level candidate for the Feed Mill Maintenance/Utility position at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. This role involves maintenance and operations of the manufacturing of poultry feed, including operating the batching system and managing inventory procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantles machines, moves machinery and equipment.
- Required to be trained as a mill operator.
- Assembles and installs equipment such as shafts, conveyors, and pelleting equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance work on all equipment.
- Cleans, lubricates, and repairs shafts, bearings, and other parts of machinery.
- Routinely performs welding, adjustment, and component replacement of milling equipment.
- Provides timely completion of all repairs.
- Performs any inspections as required.
- Keeps accurate, organized records of work performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- One to two years related experience and/or training is required for this position.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
