ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY : Cal Poly Pomona Foundation Employment Services is currently seeking a part-time Office Assistants to work in the Maximizing Engineering Potential, Women in Science and Engineering (MEP-WiSE) : Center for Gender, Diversity & Student Excellence. This position is funded by the Kellogg Legacy Project Endowment, under the direction of Dr. Lily Gossage, MEP-WiSE Director.
Office Assistants will support the program operational needs of MEP-WiSE office.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety) :
Office Assistants will work closely MEP-WiSE staff in all areas of program operations. Expected responsibilities include :
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
- Support general office and clerical duties, including phone calls, typing, filing, deliveries
- Maintain MEP-WiSE spaces, including student tutoring rooms, offices
- Assist with events / workshops in preparation, implementation, including event set-up / tear-down
- Create MEP-WiSE promotional materials, including information cards, digital posters, and swag items
- Serve as peer mentors and student leaders for the MEP-WiSE Peer Mentoring program
- Other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Current Cal Poly Pomona undergraduate pursuing STEM degree.
