ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: Cal Poly Pomona Foundation is currently searching for Part-Time Student Assistant to work in the Motor
Development Clinic in the Kinesiology & Health Promotion department, College of Science, under the supervision of Dr.Ma- Narasaki Jara & Dr. Chloe Simpson
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
The student assistant will plan, lead, and implement camp programs for children. Will provide high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants. Student assistants will supervise campers and ensure their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being. Students will maintain a schedule for camp participants, facilitate and create lesson plans for daily activities. Student assistants will assist in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, documentation, and daily attendance. Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program. Records and tracks camper's dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them. Student assistant will mediate any campers' disputes. Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including always knowing the whereabouts of your charges. Student assistants will maintain constant surveillance of the pool/body of water areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have completed KIN 3460 (4050) with a "B" or above and completed BRIC safety protocol training.
- Must possess excellent communication, self-starter, and leadership skills and have the ability work in a team setting and to positively interact with other students, faculty and staff.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed KIN 5750 with a "B" or above.
- Training/experience is preferred.
