ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: Cal Poly Pomona “Foundation” is currently seeking a Part-Time Research Assistant (RA) to work under the supervision of Dr. Viviane Seyranian, CPP Psychology Associate Professor, on the iCARE M&S Program funded by the Department of Education
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
The student RA will assist in conducting STEM education research and evaluation. Specifically, the job will include assisting the supervisor in all aspects of the project including but not limited to, literature review, developing online surveys, administering surveys (online and in-person on campus) data collection including conducting multiple phases of surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews (online/in-person); data collection material preparation and IRB protocol changes; sorting, filing, and organizing all research materials and data; data entry; data coding; data analysis; report preparation; and other research related tasks as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current undergraduate CPP student majoring in psychology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in psychology.
- Experience with research methods, evaluation, Qualtrics and SPSS.
- Must possess excellent communication and analytical skills, self-starter, and leadership skills and have the ability work in a team setting and to positively interact with other students, faculty, and staff.
- Must be willing to complete training in human subject ethics (CITI).
