JOB DETAILS:
Position: Electrical Engineer
JOB REF#: 43228
Duration: 12 Months (On-going Contract)
Location: ONSITE - Georgetown, KY 40324
Pay Rate: OPEN/Market Rate (W2 Only)
**This role is 100% ONSITE (Must be LOCAL or willing to relocate at your own expense) **
HOURS: MON-FRI 8am- 5pm (EST)
Daily Responsibilities include:
• Facilitate electrical building system design, startups & commissioning activities.
• Provide subject matter expert assistance in review of product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings and specifications, & contractor generated RFIs.
• Work with building construction contractors and equipment vendors to coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning & hand-over to end users.
• Coordination of weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors, plant facilities groups, & manufacturing shops.
• Conduct work progress inspections on a continuous basis.
• Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings, and planned utility outages.
• Conduct inspections and observations of mechanical building systems for compliance with project specifications, quality standards, & applicable codes.
• Oversee work of mechanical contractors for adherence to project delivery methods, schedule milestone targets, & coordination with other groups.
• Prepare field engineering status reports of work progress and schedule to Project Managers.
• Provide input and feedback to improve project technical specifications and standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical matters in written & verbal formats.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, & prioritize project commitments based on established deadlines and project milestones.
• Candidate will be travelling domestically when required
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 5 years in Electrical design field, designing criteria development for electrical systems.
• 2 years in Construction Management (Industrial/Commercial Building exp)
, Experience coordinating schedules, reports, meetings and outages.
• Experience working in Automotive with engine, transmission, or vehicle facilities OR similar INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURE.
• Extensive knowledge of Safety procedures, Safe work practices, and OSHA requirements for ELECTRICAL installations, such as Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Control of Hazardous Energy, and Arc Flash safety.
• Extensive knowledge of prevailing building codes and professional industry standards, such as IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, and/or FM
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project
• Good organizational skills, communication skills, schedule management skill
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Major: Electrical Engineering) - required
Other Requirements:
• 25% - Over-time: Able to work up to 60hrs/week including weekends/Shutdown.
• 50% - Travel Domestically
