Our client, a leading provider of payment-acceptance solutions and financial technology services, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst III to drive innovation and deliver high-quality payment solutions in a dynamic Agile environment.
Position: Technical Business Analyst III
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Lindon, UT Hybrid
Work Arrangement: Hybrid preferred (2-3 days onsite); flexible hours. Top candidates may qualify for 100% remote.
Role Summary:
As a Technical Business Analyst III, you will act as the functional SME and key stakeholder for ProPay application requirements, collaborating with product owners, engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams to align solutions with strategic goals. This role emphasizes Agile project delivery, communication, and problem-solving to ensure seamless integration of payment-processing systems while maintaining alignment with industry standards and competitive trends.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the IT Business Analyst for Agile teams, guiding co-located and remote developers/QA through Scrum methodologies.
Lead cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery of business value via Agile processes, including Release Planning, Sprint cycles, and Retrospectives.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders, resolve impediments, and ensure alignment between product vision and solution delivery.
Translate business needs into functional requirements, collaborate on technical solutions, and validate application functionality through design and test case reviews.
Define and prioritize the product backlog and delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational dependencies.
Identify gaps in systems/processes (e.g., automation opportunities, security risks) and mitigate them to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement by inspecting and adapting software development processes with the Agile team.
Stay current on payment industry trends, regulations (card brands, etc.), and competitive technologies.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science.
3 years in Agile project management (Scrum) with hands-on user story development and sprint management.
Expertise in payment transaction flows, processing systems, and related business concepts.
Strong SQL proficiency and familiarity with MS Office/Google Suite.
Required Skills/Experience:
Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
Clear understanding of payment processing ecosystems and industry regulations.
Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills.
Other Skills:
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process optimization.
