We have an opening with one of our respected clients for a Sr Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the maintenance, installation, and configuration of infrastructure technologies and next generation technologies. May be involved with complex system integration testing and evaluation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 7 year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Must have over 5 years of experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud architectures. A strong background in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential, with proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Shell. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in designing and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) solutions to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
Knowledge of all infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS); infrastructure management tools and monitoring tools; solution sizing for hardware/software platforms; industry standard security requirements and designs.
The role involves architecting, optimizing, and maintaining OCI environments while developing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies. The candidate will drive automation and efficiency within OCI environments and design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) solutions. They will also be responsible for analyzing and optimizing resource allocation, workload performance, and scaling strategies. Additionally, the role includes leading training sessions and mentoring team members. Preferred qualifications include OCI Professional certifications, multi-cloud expertise, hybrid cloud experience, integration experience, knowledge of microservices, and familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud automation practices.
Nuclear requirement: Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. These are a condition of employment at PVNGS.
