SUMMARY
This class is the first of two levels in the Inventory Control series.
Incumbents maintain a supply of standard parts and supplies. Responsibilities may include receiving and storing supplies; maintaining records of parts and supplies received and dispersed; monitoring inventory levels; coding, entering, and filing invoices; entering work orders; compiling materials and labor costs; running standard reports; obtaining price quotes; ordering parts and supplies; and scheduling maintenance and repair services.(The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), one year clerical experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement.

- Receives a variety of orders; unpacks, labels, and sorts inventory, equipment, and/or supplies.
- Delivers inventory, supplies, or equipment to destination; places inventory items and supplies in correct location or supply room; assists with inventory counts.
- Enters and maintains data in a database. Prepares related reports from records.
- Processes a variety of paperwork, including packing lists, invoices, and other related documents.
- Collects, compiles, and submits a variety of information including compiling materials and labor costs, obtaining price quotes, ordering parts and supplies, and/or gathering related information.
- Schedules maintenance and repair services necessary on stock, vehicles, and/or other related equipment.
- May perform a variety of clerical support duties including answering telephones, routing telephone calls; coding, entering, and filing information; and/or other related duties.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
