SUMMARYThis class is the first of two levels in the Inventory Control series. Incumbents maintain a supply of standard parts and supplies. Responsibilities may include receiving and storing supplies; maintaining records of parts and supplies received and dispersed; monitoring inventory levels; coding, entering, and filing invoices; entering work orders; compiling materials and labor costs; running standard reports; obtaining price quotes; ordering parts and supplies; and scheduling maintenance and repair services.

Receives a variety of orders; unpacks, labels, and sorts inventory, equipment, and/or supplies. Delivers inventory, supplies, or equipment to destination; places inventory items and supplies in correct location or supply room; assists with inventory counts. Enters and maintains data in a database. Prepares related reports from records. Processes a variety of paperwork, including packing lists, invoices, and other related documents. Collects, compiles, and submits a variety of information including compiling materials and labor costs, obtaining price quotes, ordering parts and supplies, and/or gathering related information. Schedules maintenance and repair services necessary on stock, vehicles, and/or other related equipment. May perform a variety of clerical support duties including answering telephones, routing telephone calls; coding, entering, and filing information; and/or other related duties. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
