Position Summary:
As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting and engraving machines to produce precision parts and designs for various industries. Your primary role will involve setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting laser equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and producing high-quality products in a timely manner.
Position will work in laser operations, loading, and unloading material, operating the laser machine, counting, completing paperwork, identifying material.
Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining laser cutting and engraving machines
- Producing precision parts and designs
- Loading and executing programs, change heads, nozzles, etc. – making adjustments as needed
- Loading and unloading materials
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 1 years of metal manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read micrometers and measuring devices such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
- Basic knowledge and skills pertaining to laser operations and production
- Attention to detail and precision
- Forklift experience
Education & Experience:
- Must be 18 years old of age
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with laser or punch operations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands and feet required
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours during shift
