What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at Caldwell Electrical Contractors?
Role Summary:
The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs; collaborating closely with customers, owners, general contractors, engineering, project managers, subcontractors, and
suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive estimates are provided.
Required skills and abilities:
- Must have at least (5) years of Electrical Estimating Experience with a strong background in commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Ability to analyze and interpret project plans and specifications to create comprehensive cost estimates.
- Proficient in interpreting and analyzing construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple estimates and manage your time to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Education and experience:
- Must have experience with Electrical estimating software and performing estimations.
- Experience with Conest estimating software is a plus.
- Experience with software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, Excel, Word and Cloud based software such as Dropbox, Google sheets.
- AutoCad is useful, but not required.
