Summary: Serves as a liaison between Caldwell and the project owner and/or consulting engineers by planning, directing and coordinating of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Contract negotiation and administration.
- Contract administrative duties with subcontractors and project owners and their project representatives (construction managers and consulting engineers).
- Identify, track and control decisions made on change orders.
- Prepare project schedules.
- Scheduling coordination of trades, inspecting, testing placement, installation and application of various construction activities required by the overall construction contract.
- Full involvement in tank construction from project start to completion.
- Coordinate with engineering, subcontracts and construction to maintain the project schedule.
- Assist and transmit submittal packages with the assistance of our engineering department.
- Attend site visits and monthly construction progress meetings to assess project construction, and to ensure the safe and high quality construction of our projects.
- Working knowledge of safety policies and perform site observations in coordination with Caldwell safety department.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a minimum of 3 years of general construction project management experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PMP certificate and/or PE license preferred, but not required.
Other Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete and steel reinforcement; tank construction, steel surface preparation, paint application; and all associated electrical and control equipment associated with tanks.
Other Qualifications: Extensive air and ground travel is required. Must be knowledgeable in the various building codes including; American Water Works Association D100 and D110, ACI 318; ACI 350; ACI 372R; local and state building code, as well as, project specific requirements.
Must be well versed in construction law, various local ordinances for each state in their territory and all facets of local permit requirements.
