Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Computer Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for creating efficient, scalable solutions. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications. This role requires proficiency in various programming languages and technologies, including Microsoft Access, SQL Server and VB.Net. We operate in a virtual environment, so hours and location are flexible.

Our business hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST. Flexible hours are available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain both our commercial software and internal customer support applications.
• Create and maintain application databases in SQL Server, including tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify bugs and ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide customer support and troubleshooting for technical issues with our commercial software application.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Access / VBA, including forms, queries, reports, and modules.
• Experience in SQL Server, Vb.Net and InstallShield.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
