Your Role:
As an After School Volleyball Coach, you will facilitate engaging and energetic volleyball sessions for students in grades K-5 at different elementary schools throughout the Bay Area, oversee student involvement, and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Class Management:
- Energize and manage classes of 8-16 enthusiastic students aged 5-10.
- Teach volleyball using provided lesson plans that keep kids engaged.
- Training & Preparation:
- Participate in a two-day training session to get you up to speed with our program.
- Transport and set up volleyball equipment for each class.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
- Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
- Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
- Capture the Fun:
- Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress!
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in teaching or playing volleyball is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team.
- A passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
- Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and be fully vaccinated.
Locations & Schedule:
- Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area.
- Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly.
