- Supervise nursing students giving patient care in a variety of settings.
- Abide by Calhoun Community College policies.
- Abide by OSHA guidelines.
- Abide by HIPAA guidelines.
- Monitor and record student clinical progress on college forms and submit forms prior to final exams (Daily clinical evaluations and Skill Sheets).
- Conduct a clinical evaluation with each student at the end of the semester.
- Grade student papers as assigned.
- Review Module Assignment and Clinical assignment with students in post-conference each week.
- Notify Nursing Department Program Director of any needle stick, body fluids exposure, medication error or other critical incident at the time of occurrence.
- Submit clinical report form weekly to the level liaison.
- Participate in level faculty meetings when possible.
- Maintain communication with Nursing Program Director and Level liaison.
- MSN preferred, BSN required.
- A current unencumbered license as registered nurse in the State of Alabama is required.
- A minimum of 2 years clinical work experience as a registered nurse is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in the clinical area to be employed by Calhoun Community College as clinical supervisor is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions for Nursing Program of the Alabama College system is required.
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR course completion is required.
