What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Trainer position at Calhoun Construction Services?
Our new Corporate Trainer will w ork with company leadership to develop overall company strategy for employee training and career development programs.
Essential Duties and responsibilities :
Lead the effort to determine any outside consultant training needs, including finding the resources to provide the training, obtain pricing, schedule training and track participation from the company employees
Create slide presentations along with any other training materials, tests, handouts and other documents as necessary to ensure transfer of learning the participants
Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to develop course lists for each career track and create syllabuses of the required courses
Be the main point of contact for scheduling training, ensuring training rooms are scheduled with the appropriate seating, audio / visual resources, food / refreshments, etc. as needed
Create training courses along with in house subject matter experts for specific software applications such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint Vista and MS Project
Develops and maintains a database of resources and training materials to further the professional development of staff including slide presentations, videos and templates
Track attendance and employee’s participation in the curriculum
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 relevant experience in learning and development
Minimum of 1 year operations training experience
Awareness of training & development methodologies and the training value chain (assessment, design, development, delivery, measurement, etc.)
Solid knowledge of the latest corporate training techniques; additionally, knowledgeable of various learning styles
Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills in front of large or small groups
Strong teamwork orientation and initiative
Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
