Overview
Caliber Concrete Construction is looking for candidates to fill several Cement Finisher positions. Candidates applying for this position must be in the union or willing to join the union upon hire. Concrete, Curb and Gutter experience is not required for this position, but preferred.
Cement Finishers are expected to work Monday-Friday starting at 5:30am. Weekend work is a possibility but will be paid OT and is optional. Concrete Finisher’s will be responsible for ensuring the proper finishing of concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of concrete materials, and the ability to work efficiently in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Level and smooth surfaces, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Set up and remove forms and other equipment
- Apply curing compounds and sealers to protect finished concrete surfaces
- Repair and patch damaged concrete as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a related construction field
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing tools and techniques
- Ability to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions
- Excellent physical stamina and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Benefits & Pay
Concrete Finishers’ pay will vary and depend on level of apprenticeship/journeyman and union prices. Caliber Concrete will help any approved candidates get set up with the union.
