Position Summary:
The Senior Auditor leads audit and tax engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients. This role involves coordinating planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up duties while supervising the engagement team. Senior Auditors serve as the primary client contact for routine queries and information related to client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit, Accounting, and Tax:
- Develop technical knowledge requiring minimal supervision and present work with few revisions.
- Initiate audit planning, document accounting systems, assess audit risks, and develop audit plans with supervisor assistance.
- Manage challenging audit areas and assign work to staff that promotes growth.
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns (Forms 990, 5500), and review staff work.
- Communicate audit findings and internal control matters to senior management and clients.
- Maintain job status updates in project management system (GoFileRoom) and facilitate post-fieldwork wrap-up.
Client Management:
- Oversee engagements, ensuring quality work is performed within budget and deadlines.
- Develop engagement budgets, manage multiple client projects, and interact professionally with clients.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting practices, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and firm-specific software (ProSystem, Engagement, GoFileRoom).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and auditing standards.
Professional Development:
- Actively pursue CPA certification and contribute to business development activities.
- Coach and develop staff, provide constructive feedback, and assist in their professional growth.
- Participate in firm activities, including education, recruiting, and community service.

Work Environment:
Primarily office-based, with 80-90% time spent at client sites using standard office equipment.

Education and Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, two years of audit experience, and CPA eligibility.
- Preferred: CPA certification and experience in industries like Not-for-Profit, Labor Unions, Employee Benefit Plans, and Commercial Entities.
Work Authorization:
Must have valid authorization for employment in the U.S.
Promotion Criteria to Supervising Senior Auditor:
Minimum of 1-2 years of satisfactory performance, demonstrating strong technical skills, effective engagement management, and a positive attitude toward staff development.

Salary : $75,000 - $82,000
