PowerBI Developer for Financial Budget & Actual (

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Financial Reporting and Data Modeling Consultant to develop a dynamic and user-friendly Financial Budget and Actual (FBA) reporting model. This consultant will enhance and complete the existing Power BI model to meet stakeholder requirements, eliminate resource-intensive processes, and empower internal teams with the knowledge and tools needed for long-term success.

Responsibilities :

  • Data Modeling and Report Development :

Design and enhance Power BI data models to integrate budget data (from PBCS) and actual data (from CFS), stored in Redshift.

  • Create structured, easy-to-navigate data models and interactive dashboards that transform complex metrics into actionable insights.
  • Dashboard and Visualization Design :

    • Build intuitive and dynamic Power BI dashboards for comprehensive financial reporting tailored to finance and leadership needs.

  • Optimization and Long-Term Sustainability :

    • Eliminate current Excel-based processes by automating financial reporting within Power BI.

  • Strategize and implement sustainable solutions that accommodate future enhancements and organizational reporting requirements.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer :

    • Conduct training sessions to equip internal teams with best practices in data modeling, report building, and data visualization.

  • Develop clear documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure ongoing stability and usability of the Power BI solution.
  • Compliance and Governance :

    • Ensure adherence to data compliance and governance standards throughout the engagement.

    Deliverables :

  • A fully automated and sustainable Power BI financial reporting model.
  • Interactive, self-service dashboards for finance and leadership teams.
  • SOPs and detailed documentation to support internal expertise development.
  • Comprehensive training sessions to build long-term staff proficiency.
  • A seamless handover process, enabling the internal team to confidently manage and update the Power BI solution.
