Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and products meet quality standards. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Gathering production forms and other authorized documents for record keeping.
- Reviewing written work instructions and other postings at the work cell.
- Preparing the work cell with production materials and labels, and obtaining information from the previous operator if necessary.
- Gathering samples for quality control inspection, gauging and measuring products, or reviewing equipment test results for product acceptance.
- Emptying scrap containers, trash bins, and disposing of cleaning materials.
- Performing other duties as assigned, such as inspection sorting or reworking.
Skills
The work consists of routine and repetitive tasks for the production of Calico products. The ability to sort and maneuver the newly molded part is essential to the process and operators must have the stamina to remain on their feet for most of their shift.
Work is of some complexity requiring a moderate degree of decision making in the application of procedures and methods in determining appropriate remedies for diverse problems. Incumbent may be required to climb up and down a step ladder to stack parts on pallet. Repetition of work with moderate lifting required up to 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis. Work is performed under the direction of assignments and methods only, with periodic review of assignments. Minimal exposures to dust, heat, smoke and grease.
