Set-Up Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced plastic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with various technical systems and machinery, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of tooling, materials handling, and the ability to work with hand tools and machinery.

Duties

· Set and cleans all production tools;

· Cycles presses per established set up sheets;

· Checks machine safeties and lubricates all tool areas as needed;

· May verify and document the quality of all parts to the print after start up, retaining all morgue shots;

· Changes mold components when necessary;

· Maintains a high level of house keeping at all times;

· Informs others on shift of position at the start and end of shift;

· Builds and maintains machine chutes as necessary to keep product from getting lost or dirty;

· Maintains schedule to assist in coordinating mold changes efficiently;

· Maintains Safety practices at all times;

· Follow all Calico procedures and processes.

· Performs other duties as assigned filling in for production needs as required.

· Qualification Requirements: Complete JFA-8020 Training Checklist-Process-Setup Technician

Qualifications

· Any combination of education equivalent to a high school education;

· Minimum one year experience in Mechanical or Mold Set up; preferably in a plastic manufacturing environment;

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;

· Ability to understand processes involved in manufacturing;

· Ability to perform job to acceptable standards.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
