What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Day Camp Staff position at California Adventure Camps?
California Adventure Camps is looking for enthusiastic Day Camp Staff to lead, support, and motivate students as they enjoy all that CAC has to offer. CAC is a day camp program that offers many unique experiences, many of which are led by professionals in their field. Our camps vary by location but include themes such as baseball, basketball, outdoor wilderness survival, art, cooking, robotics, performing arts, and much more!

Our next camps are April 14-18th. Camps are located in different counties in CA, this camp will be located in Anderson CA.

General Job Duties may include:
: Work with other camp staff members to maintain a positive, safe, and fun camp experience
- Lead, monitor, engage, and support students as they participate in a range of activities & ensure daily schedule is kept
- Ensure the safety of students as they engage in camp activities and monitor students to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents
- Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment as needed
- Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to parents and camp director/site coordinator
- Additional duties may include, but not limit to, student sign in and drop off, meal time supervision, attending off campus activities including ensuring camp lunches are brought when needed, and supervising bus rides
*Previous experience in childcare, classroom, sports coaching, special education, tutoring, theater, or related fields is preferred.
Requirements:- Ability to work well with children of different ages and backgrounds- Strong communication skills- Ability to complete a TB test
-First aid certification (can be completed after hired)
-Mandated reporter training (can be completed after hired)
-Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
-Travel for some camps (only for future camps)
-Experience playing/coaching sports is a plus
-At least 17 years sold
**Please note that this is a seasonal position with varying hours based on program needs. Typical camp days are 7-9 hours. The duration of employment may range from a few weeks to several months. The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Candidate MUST be available to work dates listed.
