OVERVIEW
The Foundation and Sponsorship Manager supports the mission of the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce Foundation (Foundation). This position is primarily responsible for managing Foundation programs and partnerships, overseeing fund development, and supporting cross-team coordination to ensure successful delivery of the Foundation’s leadership, workforce, and community resiliency initiatives.
In addition to their Foundation responsibilities, the Manager will manage corporate sponsorship tracking, communications, and fulfillment across the Foundation, the California and Sacramento Asian Pacific Chambers of Commerce. They will manage sponsor relationships, oversee benefit delivery, and coordinate with internal departments to maximize sponsor value and visibility.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, organized, and collaborative professional with experience in fund development, project management, and cross-functional nonprofit coordination.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Foundation Program Management & Development
- Manage day-to-day coordination of Foundation programs, including outreach, logistics, partner communication, and deliverable tracking.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of new and existing programs.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to develop marketing materials and content for Foundation initiatives.
- Prepare grant proposals and funder reports, and assist in identifying new funding opportunities.
- Coordinate and support Foundation Board meetings, including agendas, logistics, and materials.
- Develop and monitor program metrics to evaluate community impact and funding outcomes.
Sponsorship Strategy & Relationship Management
- Support sponsorship development efforts across all three organizations, including prospecting, proposal development, and pitch support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate sponsors—ensuring strong relationships and clear communication.
- Work across departments to ensure timely delivery of sponsor benefits (event visibility, speaking opportunities, social media mentions, etc.).
- Maintain sponsorship tracking systems, support invoicing, and monitor sponsor engagement across touchpoints.
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow sponsorship offerings
Cross-Functional Support & Internal Coordination
- Manage Foundation Specialist and Coordinator positions
- Collaborate with Events, Programs, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
- Develop briefing materials and internal updates related to funders and sponsors.
- Research trends in funding and sponsorship to inform new opportunities and approaches.
- Support internal reporting and special projects as directed by the Foundation Director.
- Assist in Chamber events and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills with proven experience in project and program management.
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Flexible, creative, and able to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems and database management is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development, business development, philanthropy, or foundation/corporate partnerships.
- Experience in writing grant proposals, sponsorship materials, and donor reports.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, funders, and community partners.
- Experience developing marketing collateral or working closely with communications teams to support program and sponsor visibility.

Pay: $68,640.00 - $70,000.00 per year
