Position’s primary responsibilities include interpretation and implementation of the Nursing Practice Act and Rules via written and verbal communications with nurses, employers, and the public; education of nurse leaders, nurses, and nursing students regarding nursing practice; consultation with nurse leaders and employers using the NCBON Complaint Evaluation Tool; and active participation in recommendations for actions relating to nursing for LPNs, RNs, and APRNs for consideration by the Board, quality/performance improvement, and research initiatives. Applicants must be a strong communicator (both written and verbal), an effective public presenter, and possess analytical, report writing, and research skills. Successful applicants must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; be self-motivated; have excellent time management skills; and have experience in developing and implementing research projects. Additional responsibilities include activities related to APRN Joint Regulation, NAII programs, Medication Aides, Approved Provider Unit and Sexual Assault Examiners. Collaborate with the Investigative team on APRN cases as a resource for standards of practice and questions related to certification, education, and APRN regulations.
