Role Overview

California Custom Fruits and Flavors is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. The Production Supervisor will direct, lead and establish efficient workflows among our batching and packaging departments. They will coordinate production and employees’ activities to ensure both labor and equipment are being utilized to their most efficient capabilities.

Daily Tasks

· Oversee and coordinate daily production activities ensuring efficient operations.

· Leading 14 production associates in efficient and effective manner.

· Facilitating workflow among all departments associate with manufacturing and supply chain.

· Monitor production processes and identify areas of improvement.

· Supervise and train production staff providing guidance and coaching.

· Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management.

· Maintain highest quality of products produced along with ensuring the utmost safety and provide support for all food safety policies and protocols.

· Ensure all employees follow proper department and company protocols, processes, procedures and practices and any deviation is reported to the Assistant Plant Manager.

· Pre-operational inspections of equipment prior to production.

· Planning, staffing, training and organizing crews for their respective shifts.

· Conducting performance evaluations, document and discipline subordinates based on company policy.

What You Need to Succeed

· Minimum 2 years of experience leading a manufacturing team.

· Experience in food manufacturing preferred.

· Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.

· Excellent organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

· Consistent problem solving abilities.

· Knowledge of scheduling principals, batching, and mixing.

· Basic computer skills (including Microsoft office suites).

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Ability to stand/sit/bend/flex for 8 hours.
