Job Summary

The Treasury Manager oversees receivable, cash, cash flow, other working capital assets, investment, debt, risk management, and related financial transactions. The role is responsible for strategically managing working capital, assisting with cash flow forecasts, and ensuring the company has enough money to perform its operations. The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing treasury activities to achieve top performance and minimize the Company’s financial risk.

Essential Functions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental goals, objectives, and processes.
  • Mentor and develop team members to support professional growth.
  • Ensure billing is completed in an accurate and timely manner across all product lines following rules and regulations associated with the CDFA, FMMO, or other government agencies.
  • Fully understand milk pooling rules and regulations related to billing.
  • Fully understand export shipment requirements related to billing.
  • Review, approve, and/or process credits related to transaction corrections and/or to resolve customer issues.
  • Develop, standardize, and automate processes across departments and functions to improve efficiency and cost saving.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies for the function to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Design and implement processes and analytical tools/models/dashboard to help the company better and timely evaluate its working capital position and resulted cash flow, ensure it maintains sufficient operational cash flow, short term, and long term.
  • Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of working capital policies to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operation and long-term growth.
  • Support daily cashflow and rolling 12-month cash flow forecast design, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement.
  • Support risk management activities and accounting such as insurance and derivatives, and financing activities with bankers and investors.
  • Develop relationships with business partners, bankers, and investors.
  • Support treasury automation processes and automation of other processes as needed to facilitate efficiency and cost saving.
  • Lead and support monthly close processes for areas responsible by treasury team, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete month-end journal entries, reconciliation, and year-round audit readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate well with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.
  • Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with California Dairies Inc.’s best interests.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Demonstrated leadership ability to lead support staff. Direct reports include Treasury Accountant, Sr. Accountant, and Accounting Specialist.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated leadership experience in team management and talent growth.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, cyber security risks, general ledger account reconciliations, and internal control.
  • 3 or more years of experience in treasury operation such as banking, receivable and cash flow management, and liquidity management.
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
  • Strong people skills for interacting with bankers, customers, auditors, members, and executive team members.
  • Excellent communication skills for communicating with support personnel and executive team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving expertise.
  • Good presentation skills for educating internal personnel on accounting principles, practices, and company policies.
  • Ability to ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial documents and records.

Language Skills

English is required as the spoken language. A well-modulated tonal volume is required with excellent diction skills needed. This job requires frequent communication with personnel in other CDI locations, CDI customers and regulatory representatives.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation. Ability to use discretion and manage sensitive/confidential information.
