Requirements / Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working at a California State Preschool program desired.
- Type 45 wpm and computer literate.
- Correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Knowledge of proper formats for business forms, letters and reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Spanish bilingual preferred.
- Acts as site secretary, receptionist and interpreter.
- Provides information over the phone or in person to parents, school personnel or community members; routes calls to appropriate personnel as necessary.
- Processes new student registrations, keeps records of student attendance, enrollment & certification, student meals, collects parent fees, and completes all required district and state reports.
- Telephones and confers with parents regarding pupil's absences and other matters of student welfare.
- Maintains accurate personnel absence and weekly reports; assists substitutes; prepares and processes substitute personnel time sheets.
- Receives, stores and distributes supplies; maintains materials and equipment inventory.
- Administers first aid and provides authorized medication to students, as required; calls nurse and/or parent if necessary.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to maintain the efficient operation of the Child Development Center.
