Job Description And Duties
The Department of State Hospitals-Napa is accepting applications for the position of a permanent, full time, Fiscal Officer (Accounting Admin II). This role is ideal for a skilled financial leader who wants to make a meaningful impact by supporting DSH's mission to provide evaluation and treatment for individuals with complex behavioral health needs in a safe, equitable, and responsible manner, by leading innovation and excellence across a continuum of care.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic manager who understands that behind every financial transaction are real people whose lives are improved through our department's services. This position demands a customer service-minded professional who can connect technical fiscal expertise with the department's mission, fostering a culture where accounting teams understand how their work directly impacts the individuals we serve.
Telework:
Incumbent may be eligible for telework (1 day per week as stipulated by Executive Order), once incumbent has successfully completed their probationary period.

Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
