The Petitions Section, Headquarters Operations Bureau is seeking a driven, innovative, and dynamic individual with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills to join our team as a Supervising Tax Auditor (STA) II, Petition Management and Support Unit. The candidate must be well organized and able to handle multiple deadlines and time constraints while leading a team handling complex tax issues. The position is located in the Sacramento headquarters.
The STA II:
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the activities of the Petition Management and Support Unit.
- Leads a team consisting of auditors and support team members.
- Assists and advises the Petitions STA III on the most sensitive and complex audit and appeals issues administered by the CDTFA.
- Serves in a key leadership capacity for the Petitions Section and is an integral part of the Business Tax and Fee Division and the CDTFA overall management team.
Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California.
