THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.
Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with valuable project management and leadership experience, variety of assignments, and exposure to multiple levels of management and staff in the Employment Development Department (EDD), Information Technology Branch? The EDD is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the State Disability Insurance Online (SDIO) Section as Supervisor of our Development and Business Analysts team.
Under the general direction of the IT Manager I, the incumbent provides supervision and leadership to a large group of IT support and vendor staff assigned to develop and maintain SDIO systems, applications, and related databases for the distribution of state disability insurance benefits statewide. The incumbent plans and directs current and future development activities and provides project leadership for the initiation, development, and implementation of complex applications and systems solutions.
The successful candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
This position is located at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, CA 95814. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
This position is located in the heart of downtown Sacramento at EDD's headquarters office at 800 Capitol Mall, Sacramento and is eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
Typical Office Environment where the Incumbent will be assigned a cubicle to work during core business hours and/or telework at home where access to high-speed Internet would be required. Benefits of working at this location include:
