What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Manager position at California Energy Commission?
Are you a subject matter expert on state and federal grants? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a Supervisor for the Grants Unit in the Financial Management Branch.
Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Contracts, Grants and Loans Office, the Grants Manager will be our supervising manager for the Grants Unit within CEC. The Staff Services Manager I acts as the subject matter expert for questions and issues related to non-IT services contracts and acts as an in-house consultant for determining the applicability of funding sources. The incumbent is an expert in the policies and procedures within the State Contracting Manual administered by the Department of General Services.

Desirable Qualifications:
- Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure agreements are in alignment with commission-wide policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the full lifecycle of contracting initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate execution of agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers as a valued business partner.
- Experience with contracts and procurement.
- Knowledge of the solicitation process.
- Experience in management/supervision
