Our team is driving creative IT solutions to modernize FTB’s technical environment, while contributing to fund critical statewide services, such as education, state infrastructure and environmental protection. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys learning and collaborating with others to join our team. As a Student Assistant, you will work under the close guidance of the Subject Matter Expert, SME, in a learning capacity and performing a variety of duties that support our testing activities, writing and executing test scripts for one of our internal applications. You work collaboratively with systems analysts and developers to perform testing assignments and to resolve resulting defects in order to validate requirements and testing objectives. We seek a team player who remains flexible with changing priorities.

- Major in Computer Sciences/Computer Engineering Program or other Information Technology disciplines
- Experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and industry best practices in application testing methodologies
- Knowledge of data formatted in XML and SQL querying
- Experience with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, VISIO and Project)
- Adapts well to frequent change and a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Dependable and possess an attention to detail
- Excellent time management
