Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Field IT Unit Manager, the IT Supervisor II is responsible for supervision over the Voice / Remote Services Unit. Responsible for workforce planning, budgeting, succession planning and day-to-day operations within the unit. The incumbent must have a detailed understanding of data processing concepts, practices, methods, and principles, including an understanding of the current evolving industry trends and standards in both Information Technology and Telecommunications. The IT Supervisor II is the technical supervisor who is responsible for the most complex (client side) PC systems used by Cal OES and well as the telephone, wiring, data systems, mobile communication systems, wireless systems; utilizing vendor supplied software and hardware needed to complete and maintain specific systems. The incumbent will be required to work in a fast-paced environment on leading edge technology platforms and systems in a team environment alongside other IT professionals and multiple IT teams and other business units.

Working Conditions
In Office - This position supports the day-to-day business operations which is handled in the office. This is not considered a hybrid telework position.
Conflict of Interest - This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code and is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
DMV Pull Program - Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver’s License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
